Here's last fall's church newsletter.
We're back! We are revitalizing our newsletter, both by mail and email. If you want us to continue with this effort, drop a note in the offering plate, use the back of the visitor's card. We had a quite a new year. Our efforts in Feeding Those Who Feed Us was again a great success. Eighteen of our members visited three locations, some went to four, and participated in this year's project. We concentrated our efforts on the distribution of food, clothing, backpacks, and books in addition to the Ayala/Martin Team who saw over 120 dental patients. Our partner churches did the evangelistic rally, VBS, and Bible Studies. Our for cities recorded 177 decisions for Christ. The 2008 project is now in the planning stages, and YES! we will be going again.

Newsletters always miss something. So, if you have something to share, let us know.

New Men's Ministry

The newly formed "MEN ON MISSION" met for the first time Saturday, September 15th. About a dozen guys turned out for the event which included a pancake breakfast, devotional and fellowship time, and mission work - this time, we pitched in to help the church's migrant farm worker ministry, Feeding Those Who Feed Us. We sorted, organized, inventoried, and boxed up over two thousand pieces of kid's clothing. The next event is scheduled for Saturday, October 13th, from 8:00 AM to noon, so ALL YOU MEN, save the date! If you missed the first one, now's your chance to join FBC of Beverly Hill's "Men On Mission."

***** DATE CHANGE - the Men will meet Sept. 29th, not Oct 13th!!! ****

Women's Ministry Update

The Women's Ministry is still going strong, meeting every Thursday night at 7:00 PM. The group recently finished the Beth Moore bible study, Believing God. The typical night includes fellowship over coffee and snacks, a bible study or devotional, and a time of prayer and intercession. In addition to this adult ministry, the church is starting a new youth ministry geared towards teen girls called "GIRL TALK." The group will meet to discuss important life issues relevant to the teenage years while hanging out and having a good time. More info to come ...
